“Who has a stroke at 29?”
Three years ago, Chandler resident Amanda Ippel had a stroke while she was pregnant with her 5th child. She was an active runner and stay at home mom who has a blood disorder.
The stroke left her unable to talk, walk, control her left arm or think clearly.
After successfully delivering baby boy, she went to Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital to regain control of her body.
