You could say this breakfast spot has the best environment.
The Hangar Café at the Chandler Municipal Airport is so close to the planes that you have to cross the tarmac to get there.
The inside decor is reminiscent of a 50’s style diner with red vinyl upholstered chrome chairs and bar stools. The tables are covered with small ads from local businesses. The patio has the best view.
The menu is pretty diverse, with eggs, corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak, burritos, omelettes, pancakes, yogurt with granola, oatmeal and more.
I asked for their signature dish and one of the recommendations was the Dutch Fry with chorizo: country potatoes, eggs, onions, peppers, cheddar and jack cheese with a tortilla. It was very good and very filling!
